About us
We're a small, independent press that believes good books still change people — and that authors deserve a partner who treats their work like it matters.
Who we are
Fountain & Key Press was founded in Cambridge, Massachusetts on a simple idea: that the gap between a finished manuscript and a published book shouldn't swallow good writing whole. We publish across fiction and non-fiction, choosing titles for craft and conviction rather than category.
From editorial through design, production, and distribution, we keep the whole process under one roof — and we keep authors in control of their rights and their voice.

What we stand for
Every title earns its place. Real editors read the work and tell the truth about it — kindly, and in detail.
Per-title agreements, transparent terms, no long contracts. You retain full rights to your work, always.
Beautiful covers and considered typesetting. A book should feel as good in the hand as it reads on the page.
The people
A working editorial team — not a faceless platform.
Leads the editorial vision of the press and works directly with authors from acquisition through launch.
Shepherds each title through developmental and line editing, keeping voice and structure intact.
Designs covers and interiors, and oversees print-ready files and worldwide distribution.
"We publish books that matter. That means choosing carefully, editing honestly, and standing behind every title we put into the world."
Whether your book is finished or barely begun, there's a path here for it.
